kuja was a buddhist monk in 13th century Japan who chanted Namu across the land as antitode to princes and leaders building temples and copying sutras. He carried a gong.

This was great fun to do, using the whole kitchen wall when we had our kitchen modernised. It is loosely based on a photo of a tapestry I found. The paint is acrylic with emulsion left over from the other walls. It was then varnished. It took about 2 weeks. including a day off work.
